JACK DIGNAN

Biography

Jack Dignan is a Sydney-based screenwriter, director and producer who's spent his whole life infatuating over the art of cinema. He is best known for writing, directing and co-producing 'It Feels Like Spring,' which has played at several notable film festivals around the world, including the Prague International Indie Film Festival and the Melbourne Indie Film Festival. 

At the age of sixteen, Jack accelerated into college, where he attended the Academy of Information Technology and has a diploma in Film and Interactive Media, as well as certificates in Princeton's Human Odyssey to Political Existentialism course, and Hollywood: History, Industry and Art.

He has recently spent time working for Cheeky Little Media, an Australian 3D animation company partnering with the ABC on the production of 'Kangaroo Beach.' He also worked as the script supervisor on 'Pervert,' a six-episode mini-series produced with Bow Before Me Productions, due to be released next year.

Jack's 2018 short film 'Backseat' received a special mention at the London-Worldwide Comedy Short Film Fest, after an Australian premiere in the 24/7 Youth Film Festival, and his 2019 short film 'In Case You Missed It' has received thousands of hits online.

His early shorts, including 2013's 'Pretty Normal Activity' and 'One Small Step' as well as 2015's 'To Infinity & Beyond!' made it into the Tropfest Jr. finals, one of Australia's leading short film festivals. The films screened publicly to hundreds of guests and have gained thousands of hits online. 2014's 'My Propose Withal My Brother' was also shortlisted.

Jack is currently in early development on 'After She Died,'  a feature-length horror film circulating throughout Australian studios. The script received positive reviews from U.S. industry professionals on The Blacklist.
